A fabulous, flavourful and well-balanced wine. I think this would rate as one of my favourite Cabernets.
The Cabernet vines are planted across slight soil changes resulting in slightly different ripening at the time of picking that adds interesting complexity.
The just-ripe fruit develops herbaceous flavours. The ripe fruit develops olive characteristics and the slightly overripe produce cocoa, but not quite chocolate, flavours.
The different flavours roll over your tongue and pride a very pleasant tasting experience.
The 2017 vintage delivered a very aromatic wine. It is a strong vintage with a powerful structure. It shows the full range of varietal characteristics from the fresher leafy elements to delicious cocoa and everything in between.
