The Shiraz and Sangiovese grapes were picked in the cool of the morning to retain optimum fruit flavours and after crushing a gentle press prevented the extraction of bitter tannins and phenolics, resulting in a softer finish.
It is best served chilled and is ideal with seafood and salads, and Asian and French cuisine. It can also be enjoyed on a hot afternoon when a full-bodied red wine is just too much.
