The Rojomoma old dry grown Grenache bush vines were planted in 1886. They deliver incredibly intensely flavoured fruit. In 2008 they blended it with Shiraz (20%) to create a rich full-bodied wine. The gnarly Grenache vines grow fruit packed with flavour and earthy savouriness.
The fruit was hand-picked and hand plunged and matured in old French oak.
This wine is now showing some beautiful aged characters together with great retention of fresh fruit. It has a nice, lingering finish with aged earthy, savoury spices but still retaining the beautiful brighter red fruit flavours such as Turkish delight, raspberries and tart cherry.
A beautiful wine that has aged perfectly.
