The Moonglow Rosé is made from 70-year-old Grenache from Tweedies Gully in the Barossa Valley. These older, smaller berries have tough skin and so the wine undergoes fining and filtering (adding a fining agent to bind to the strong tannins and phenolics from the skins and seeds and then filtering to remove them).
The wine was barrel fermented on lees (dead and residual yeast carried to the bottom of the barrel during the fining process) giving it a savoury flavour that makes it a Rosé for men as well.
The Rosé has a beautiful salmon pink colour and the flavour is aromatic with red fruit and sherbert.
This wine won a Bronze Medal at the 2020 Royal Adelaide Wine Show and was awarded 92 points by Sam Kim - Wine Orbit.
This is the perfect wine for the coming summer as we head into the hot afternoons.
