Pindarie 2018 Black Hinge Shiraz 
The 2018 Black Hinge Shiraz showcases the unique terroir of the Western Barossa Valley with its rich, full-bodied character. This wine presents a vibrant ruby colour and an aromatic profile of ripe plum, black cherry, and subtle oak spices. The palate is robust and well-structured, with flavours of dark fruits, tobacco, and a touch of vanilla, all wrapped in velvety tannins. Aged in French oak, it offers a long and elegant finish, making it a delightful companion to hearty dishes.

 

Gibson Wines 2022 Dirtman Shiraz.

This one of my favourite wines, is characterized by its deep garnet colour and a nose filled with aromas of blackberry, violet, and black pepper. On the palate, it is rich and layered, offering flavours of dark berries, plum, and chocolate, balanced by fine tannins and refreshing acidity. Aged in French oak, it has a velvety texture and a long, complex finish, perfect for pairing with grilled meats or a hearty stew.

The 2021 Black Label Barossa Shiraz is a bold and expressive wine that captures the essence of the Barossa Valley. The palate is full-bodied and opulent, with flavours of ripe plum, dark berries, and a hint of toasty vanilla, supported by smooth tannins and a lingering finish. Aged in a mix of new and seasoned oak, it pairs beautifully with rich, meaty dishes.

 

Discovery Road 2023 Nero D'Avola 
The Discovery Road 2023 Nero D'Avola offers a unique and vibrant expression of this Italian varietal grown in the Barossa Valley. This wine presents a bright garnet colour and a nose filled with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and a hint of rose petal, complemented by spicy undertones. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, with flavours of red fruits, cranberry, and a touch of savory earthiness. The fine tannins and balanced acidity make it an elegant and approachable wine, perfect for pairing with tapas or grilled vegetables.

 

Curator Wine Co 2022 Barossa Valley Shiraz 
Another classic representation of the region's renowned Shiraz. This wine features a deep, rich colour and an expressive nose of ripe plum, blackberry, and hints of vanilla and spice from its oak aging. On the palate, it is bold and opulent, with concentrated flavours of dark berries, liquorice, and mocha, supported by smooth tannins and a lingering, velvety finish. Aged in a combination of French and American oak, it pairs exceptionally well with rich, meaty dishes.
